My particular focus is on science communication in the humanities and social sciences. I see my role as enhancing science culture in South Africa in order to ensure a better informed society, capable of making positive choices in terms of upliftment and sustainability, especially in the face of climate change and escalating poverty.
In water-scarce country, with an escalating, acknowledged water crisis, I am also particularly interested in writing about water security.
I have started exploring new and creative ways of communicating science, beyond pure science writing. Below are some of my first attempts at using video for this purpose.
